All the public gloryholes here in Austin, Texas have slowly disappeared over the years and I was really missing them.  I toyed with the idea of setting up my own gloryhole for several years and eventually decided to do it.  I had an antique door left over from a home remodeling project that I thought would be perfect for my purpose.  I cut a generous oval opening at the appropriate height and lined it with an adhesive foam strip to protect the precious cargo that would be passing through from any scrapes or splinters.  The original crystal doorknob still present on the door added an elegant touch.

I installed my new gloryhole in a shed behind my house, well positioned to afford easy and discreet access for my visitors and announced the grand opening.  In no time at all I was accepting multiple daily visits.  Clearly I wasn’t the only man in town feeling the need for the unique joy that a gloryhole offers.  Providing a valuable community service has been very rewarding and I look forward to continuing my humanitarian efforts for years to come.
