Product Width

The width of this set up is about 35". Most door openings in America are about 30". What do you do with the extra fabric. I guess you could just bunch it up a bit on either side, but that would take away from the illusion of a solid surface. You could fold the extra material in flaps, but then the rubber tips of the tension rod would be covered in fabric making them less effective. Maybe cut slits in the pocket the rod slids through so the the rubber ends can make contact with the door frame/wall? What experiences have you had in dealing with different door/hallway widths?
